Guidance by The Scouts on Monday 16th March has suspended all face to face meetings in Scouting. We have taken the decision to cancel this Six Summits 2020 as we do not know how long this suspension will last. Six Summits

Six Summits is a 36 mile 3 days hike across the Shropshire Six Summits.

Open to Scouts & Explorers it is designed for experienced walkers who would like to enhance their skills and personal development across the two challenges to be completed over two years. 

Six Summits is open to members of scouting from outside of Solihull

Training Challenge
This is open to Scouts from the age of 12. Scouts can walk with a day sack and the option of a leader walking with them. Teams on this challenge will also need a support team to transport food, stoves & tents between campsites. Along the 36 mile route, Scouts will be trained in navigation to help them gain their Stage 3 badge as well as completing their Expedition Challenge.
Expedition Challenge
Teams on the Expedition Challenge are expected to be self sufficient. Teams must carry ALL their own equipment to include tents, stoves & food for the full 3 days. This event is open to Scouts and Explorers who have experience of hill walking and would like to expand their knowledge.
Leaders & Staff
Events of this nature cannot run without a large team of leaders and volunteers supporting our young people. From campsite duties to sweep teams and bog squads to admin, please get in touch if you can help!

Six Summits 2020 will take place 8th – 10th May, This will be Friday morning until Sunday afternoon due to the rearranged bank holiday!
