Warwickshire are looking for a new county commissioner

With Solihull being days away from choosing a new County Commissioner, it’s time to help our friends in Warwickshire

Can you help shape the delivery of the scouting provision in WarwickshireCould you guide and inspire adults working within Scouting as County Commissioner?

This is not a role that will involve direct contact with young people, this is a senior management position that will involve managing, supporting and advising District Commissioners. They offer adults working directly with the young people first hand support and guidance so that they offer top quality Scouting and are still having fun. The District Commissioners, along with other adults, form the County Commissioner’s County Team.

Can you see yourself leading this winning team?

You will be directly responsible for ensuring the strategic plans from headquarters are implemented. You will also have the ability to shape the delivery of Scouting in Warwickshire to ensure every child has access to excellent quality scouting and each adult volunteer feels supported in their role. This is a fantastic & rewarding opportunity

As one of 8 County Commissioners in our Region you will be involved in strategic planning at a National and Regional level whilst supported by an experienced Regional Commissioner.

You will have access to a comprehensive website, a helpline and employed staff who are there to support you in your role.

You may already be managing adults within your work role, or have volunteer management experience already. You will enjoy strategic planning and have the ability to look strategically at development. You will enjoy working with adults, be patient & have a good sense of humour.

As a trustee of the County, together with others you will have direct responsibility for how scouting is managed within the County, full training on how to operate an effective executive will be provided.

You will be required to manage adults in this role and therefore previous management experience or a management qualification is essential.
