The Six Summits Challenge is a walking based, 36 mile expedition, held across the Shropshire hills for Scouts and Explorers. The event is held annually over the Bank Holiday weekend at the start of May (3 days) and will see the young people starting the expedition on the Welsh border, camping for two nights and finishing on Clee Hill just outside Ludlow.
Within the Challenge there are three awards. Training, Expedition and Leader. At each stage of the award system the Scouts and Explorers will be expected to build on their knowledge of navigation, camping skills and team work. At the end of the 3 day expedition the scouts will have gained their Navigation stage 3 badge and Expedition Challenge badge.
The cost of the event is £10 and you can apply at
from the 1st of January 2016.
