After several years as the County’s Nominated Youth Representative Mathew Spencer has decided to step down so he can concentrate on a number of other Scouting challenges he is involved in. Mat has represented the youth of the county on both the County executive and at the National AGM and has been an invaluable aid into steering the direction of the county to better serve our Youth Members.
There is now an opportunity for an enthusiastic and energetic young person between the ages of 18 and 25 to fill this exciting role and take Youth Involvement in the county to the next level. Reporting to the County Commissioner and the County Executive the role of the Youth Representative is to help the County understand and communicate with our young people in an effective and plain English manner. The role is also about helping our young people understand the role of the county and how they can make their views heard by the County Executive and County Team.
