1st Solihull Open Day

1st Solihull Scout Group, on Lode Lane, are blessed with 18 acres of woodland, a mill pool and two scout huts and are throwing open the gates to give local residents the chance to look round on Saturday 23rd September.  This family-friendly event starts at 12 pm and finishes at 3 pm.   Children are free to enter, adults cost only £1.  Councillor Stuart Davis, the Mayor for Solihull, is officially opening the refurbished Scout Hut at 12.15pm.  This has been made possible by a huge joint effort from scouts of all ages, parents, local companies, charitable trusts and SMBC.

Go on a guided tour around the woods, try your hand at pond dipping, try to locate Where’s the Woggle on the map, join in the storytelling and singsong round the campfire, test your competitive skills at archery …  see the poster for more information about what ‘s on or visit our Facebook page “Friends of Solihull Mill Pool”.

It’s a hidden gem in the local area so don’t miss out as this only comes round once a year.
